Greenhouse Gasses and climate change
The greenhouse effect:
The greenhouse effect refers to the earths natural method of regulating its temperature. Like a greenhouse, the earth is warmed by sunshine, that heat needs then to be regulated so that the temperature never gets too hot or too cold. In a greenhouse that is regulated by opening or closing a window, the Earth, however, regulates its temperature with a layer of gasses, known as greenhouse gasses, which reflect heat back down to the earth. If there is not enough gas, the earth would get too cold, and if there is too much, much too hot.

Climate change
The earth natural cycles are geared toward maintaining a certain level of greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere. Human activities have placed a huge amount of additional greenhouse gasses in to the atmosphere, as well as removing some of the earths ability to absorb greenhouse gasses. This is reflecting more of the sun’s energy back to the earth, leading to a warming on a global level. With the continued unchecked emissions of additional greenhouse gasses, the condition will only deteriorate.
